Prescription Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Prescription Policy explains how Sangcoo handles prescription information for prescription eyewear orders placed on sangcoo.com.
This policy applies to prescription eyewear only. Non-prescription products are not subject to prescription verification unless otherwise stated.
1. Prescription Requirements
Prescription eyewear must be made using valid prescription information provided by the customer.
Prescription details may include:
- SPH (Sphere)
- CYL (Cylinder)
- AXIS
- ADD
- PD (Pupillary Distance)
- Prism values, where applicable
Customers must provide complete and accurate prescription information based on a valid prescription or optometry report issued by a qualified eye care professional as applicable in their jurisdiction.
2. How to Submit Your Prescription
Customers may provide prescription information in either of the following ways:
Upload Your Prescription
You may upload a clear copy of your valid prescription or optometry report during the ordering process.
Enter Prescription Manually
You may manually enter the prescription values shown on your valid prescription or optometry report.
If you enter your prescription manually without uploading a copy during checkout, we will contact you by email after your order is placed and request a copy of your prescription or optometry report.
3. Prescription Verification
A valid prescription or optometry report is required before a prescription eyewear order can be processed and shipped.
Our team will review the prescription document and compare it with the prescription information submitted with the order where applicable.
If the information is unclear, incomplete, inconsistent, or requires confirmation, we may contact you for additional information before processing the order.
If you have not provided the required prescription document, your prescription eyewear order will remain on hold until we receive and verify it.
4. Manually Entered Prescriptions
When entering prescription values manually, customers are required to confirm that the information comes from a valid and unexpired prescription issued to them by a qualified eye care professional.
Manual entry does not replace the requirement to provide a copy of the prescription or optometry report.
If a prescription copy was not uploaded during ordering, Sangcoo will contact the customer after checkout to obtain the document before the prescription eyewear order is processed and shipped.
5. Differences Between Entered and Uploaded Information
If the prescription values entered manually do not match the prescription document provided, we will place the order on hold and contact the customer for clarification.
We will not intentionally change prescription values based solely on assumptions.
Additional confirmation or an updated prescription document may be required before production begins.
6. Prescription Validity
Customers must provide a current and valid prescription or optometry report.
By submitting prescription information, the customer confirms that:
- The prescription belongs to the person for whom the eyewear is being ordered.
- The prescription information provided is accurate.
- The prescription is valid and has not expired.
- The prescription was issued by a qualified eye care professional as applicable under local requirements.
We may request additional information when necessary to verify a prescription before processing an order.
7. Prescription Eyewear Production
Prescription lenses are individually manufactured according to the verified prescription information associated with the order.
Production will begin only after any required prescription verification has been completed.
Because prescription lenses are customized products, customers should carefully review their prescription and lens selections before submitting an order.
8. Changes to Prescription Information
If you notice an error or need to change prescription information after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
If production has not started, we will make reasonable efforts to update the order.
Once customized lens production has begun, changes may not always be possible. Any return, remake, exchange, or refund will be handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
9. Medical Disclaimer
Sangcoo does not provide eye examinations, medical diagnoses, treatment, or medical advice.
We manufacture prescription eyewear based on prescription information issued by qualified eye care professionals and provided by customers.
For eye examinations, prescription updates, vision concerns, or medical advice, please consult a qualified eye care professional.
